According to The Keeper, this idol is part of a set of four idols which can be used to create a ritual which can be done to raise and rebuild the city.

Althea discovered a strange gold slab that was warm to the touch when she pulled it out. When sticking her knife into the whole it grew white hot with radiant energy.
