Fatima was born to horrible position in life. Her mother was a whore on the docks in (Coorish city here) and her father a mystery. No one payed her much attention while she was little save to kick at her when she got under foot. The other gutter children mocked her because even though they where poor at least they knew their own parentage. Shortly after her 7th birthday her mother was cut up badly by a drunken sailor and their lot worsened. Badly scarred, Fatima’s mother could no longer work out even a modest living selling her body. To make matters worse after the sailor that cut up her mother died in a horrific way several nights later. His body was stabbed dismembered and crushed into pulp, some of the witnesses spoke of a horrible beast that did the dead then vanished. Talk of witchcraft and curses followed Fatima and her mother out of the city as they fled. It wasn’t long before Fatima had learned to control her gift of summoning. Life became easier with the help of her summoned creatures. At the age of 9 she made the mistake of trying to use her gifts to rob a wealthy looking traveler, turns out he was a powerful member of the stars children. Taking pity on her and realizing her latent talent Roston Galfant decided to apprentice her. Fatima grew to love Roston like the father she never had, he even provided for her mother and got her work in the local chapter house cleaning and cooking. As she grew into her beauty it became a distraction to everyone around her. She had taken to having affairs with local merchants and landholders in order to increase her wealth. Fatima at this point realized the power she had over men and has exploited it mercilessly. Rolston was her mentor and father figure so when he disappeared while traveling in the West Hannum Islands she has made it her mission to find out what has become of him. Her chapter master was vague about Rolston’s mission in the islands saying only that it involved internal security of the highest importance and she was not to get involved. Fatima decided quickly that she would do whatever it took to find Rolston and quickly secured passage on the ship with the most attractive captain headed to Baste. Arriving on board the coorish vessels in the midst of the battle for Baste she has had to quickly adjust to war.
