Solomon Bey has been called retentive. Some say he’s a bit obsessive-compulsive. Others say that he’s fond of the finer things in life. All of these statements are true, to an extent. As Purser aboard the King’s Gambit, he’s in charge of seeing to the crew’s pay, and of keeping the books. He’s very meticulous about everything he does, and has his little rituals that he likes to observe. Despite his love of luxuries, he’d be frankly horrified by the idea of doctoring the books… it just wouldn’t be proper. That, and he’s terrified of Lady Kaiser. It’s shrewd investments that allow him to maintain the lifestyle he prefers.
