Thorry, "The Dirty One"
Known by: Thorry “the dirty one”
Real name: Mord Droverson
BACKGROUND: Mord had a rough childhood. At age 12, his mother, afraid of his newly manifesting mind powers abandoned him in the streets of Skalin’s Rib.
Life on the streets was hard at first, but Mord soon found it easy thanks to his abilities to “persuade” people to give him money.
At the age of 16, he was noticed by a member of the Thieves Guild, and was contracted out to distract the guards of a merchant by the name of Galbord, while the thieves did there work … he performed admirably. After the success of that job, the thieves invited Mord for to a local tavern for a little celebration, and after a few too many pints, one rogue confided in him that the man who took out the contract on the merchant was none other than the arena master. Today, he has become a regular contractor for the thieves guild (although he is not a member)…
Today he still lives off the streets, always keeping the guise of a bum, and still accepts handouts. Only a few friends, and some members of the thieves guild know of his abilities.
He lives in an abandoned, very small, out of the way “house”, and although it looks like a hovel on the outside, he has furnished it nicely on the inside.
His true alignment is Good (he IS a good person)…but circumstance of life has forced him to do some evil and questionable things.
When begging, he normally wheres dirty clothes and no shoes (hence his nickname by Skalin’s Rib’s general populace), but occasionally, he puts on nicer robes that cover his face and wanders about town.
One day, curiosity brought him to the sounds of battle in a back ally. There he saw two city guardsman under assault by a group of thugs. One guard was bleeding out on the ground, but the other guard, a massive goliath was holding his own…but it was clear he couldn’t take them all on. Against his better judgment, Mord hid in the shadows, and used his mental abilities to assist the guard. After the thugs were defeated, Mord stepped out of the shadows and helped tend to Goalith guard. His name was Fel…and a friendship soon ensued. Fel is constantly telling Mord to stop working with the Thieves Guild…and Mord really is trying to quit that line of work.
IN COMBAT: Mords fighting style could be mistaken for cowardice, and he doesnt give a shit if people think that. He’s smart…and he knows that he would never win in a stand up/ toe to toe fight. He will only press the attack if he knows he has the advantage…if things look to tough he has no problem in running, or at least finding a better position to turn the fight in his favor.
- His mother is alive and working as a bar wench at a local tavern
- His biggest “dream” is to stop being a “lowlife”, and to climb out of this dirty business of thieving and begging. Maybe do some real good some day.
