The People
Mechanically, treat the People as Dragonborn but remove the Dragon Breath power and instead give +4 AC natural armour. This does not stack with worn armour.

Build notes
To model Saride’s background without becoming too powerful to be interesting, I have built him as a Warlord but spent most feat slots on non-combat abilities.
Saride is of the People, a reptilian humanoid race from the deep south. The People are not well known among humans but they are curious and cautious. Saride has been a legionairre (like most of the People) and in the military he learned his trades, including logistics and strategy. He soon found the violence overwhelming, however, and in an effort to conquer his animal nature he took up the crafts of stonecutting and anthropology. Now he is one of the few People who can mingle with humans without eating them.
It’s worth noting that Saride is not his real name. It is the result of a misunderstanding when first he was addressed but he has since seen no reason to correct the issue. After all, keeping ones name to oneself is just good cautious thinking.
Hooks
While a strategist for the Legion, Saride developed a brilliant plan that worked flawlessly, but that hinged on the ransom of an enemy noble. This noble was tricked into being seen without his honour guard by the deception of a marriage-alliance — his daughter to Saride’s commander’s son. The daughter, Andanu, tricked her father into it out of love for Saride. When the deception was unveiled, she killed herself to atone to her father. Her father, it goes without saying, is still mighty pissed.
