Old foe and nemesis
Description
Fesselhoff is tall, measuring nearly 6’3". As of eight years ago, he had short black hair, dark eyes that constantly squinted, and a well trimmed black beard. A necromancer, he wore his black ICS robes nearly constantly. His speech is typically short, direct and to the point. Despite his history, he is also strikingly honest, at least most of the time. This honesty, directness and business-like approach make most think he’s quite rude.
Bio
Fesselhoff was once a minor lord in the northeastern region of Elmsville. He was also a necromancer, as was clearly on display from the heavily enchanted black robes he wore almost constantly. The group later learned that he was one of the five rulers of the ICS, commonly referred to as the Independent Council of Sorcery by those in the know, or as the Council of Nine by uninformed residents.
In time, about mid-way through the Helm Campaign, he was named King by Lars Von Kissel. In truth, he was Von Kissel’s second appointee, after the first, a lord who sat on Von Kissel’s Small Council, died in mysterious circumstances. Fesselhoff, it is known, courted the previous king’s second daughter Laura Von Kissel, while still a lord and then even more aggressively once he was named king. His efforts failed.
As king, he used his ample resources and the Helm of Sesyphus to develop the infamous Army of Undeath. The group later learned that his intent was to rid the world of the ICS, an organization he argued had outgrown its original intent en route to becoming tyrannical and evil.
His whereabouts are now unknown. When his army fled into the ocean west of Ern, he went with them. To the best of everyone’s knowledge, he’s still alive.
