It has been five years since Smaug the Golden was slain by the black arrow of Bard, and the great War of the Five Armies concluded. The lands around Erebor have prospered under the benevolent rule of Bard, The Elven King and Dáin.

Now however despite this increase in prosperity, or even because of it, the lands have become troubled by bandits and outlaws – preying upon the weak and making life difficult for those who live on the borders of these great realms.

A call has been put out to those far and wide, to come to Esgaroth, and assist the Free Peoples in their efforts to bring peace and justice to the Wildlands.
