Bio

Not knowing his real parents, Vincent grew up as a squire taught by legendary knight of Neverwinter, Sir Grizwald. When Vincent was only 11 years old, Sir Grizwald had convinced the Brotherhood of Iron to go to the aid of Baldurs gate during the great Goblin sieges. During this time a small group of goblin bandit saw this as an opportunity to overtake Neverwinter. The city was left with no-one to defend except for a hand full of squire boys and men unfit for battle. The battle was one but with grave costs, only a few survived and Vincent lost his hand. The other squires and men took pity on him for they all felt that he could no longer become a knight.

Things only worsened when the Brotherhood of Iron returned home without Sir Grizwald; They told him that he was lost on the battle field and presumed dead. After hearing this news, Vincent was crushed and went to go live at the monastery where the monks would continue to raise him. And yet, he never lost hope; Under the watchful eye of the monks, he studied the history of the forgotten realms, was enlightened by the monks of the stories of the gods, especially Bahamut, and trained with them in hand to hand combat, which proved a little more difficult for him for he only had one hand.

After years of rigorous training and studying, a wandering artificer passed through the city. After hearing rumors of Vincent’s story, he insisted on working with the local blacksmith in making him an iron warforged hand, thus giving him the nickname “Ironmetalfist”. Vincent felt like it was a gift from the heavens and agreed to work his way toward becoming a paladin of Bahamut. When he finally reached his goal he joined The Brotherhood of Iron in keeping the city safe. That was until he met a strange group of travelers outside the gates of Candlekeep during one of his missions.
