Bio

Eleanor was born to a human father and an elven mother. Her father was a cleric of Pelor who dedicated his life to serving the Sun god through acts of healing and goodwill. When Eleanor was 10, unnatural creatures began to appear in the forest near her village. When her father and some of the more adventurous villagers began investigating the cause of the disturbances, they discovered that a cult of Nerull, the god of death had taken over an ancient shrine that previously lay abandoned in the forest. The cult’s acts of necromantic desecration caused the dead to rise from their graves and rampage about the countryside. The undead plague soon reached Eleanor’s village where, in an effort to save his family, Eleanor’s father sent Eleanor away with a fellow cleric while he stayed behind to defend their home and Eleanor’s mother who had fallen mysteriously ill shortly after the onset of the troubles. The last Eleanor saw of her father, he was standing at the center of a line of brave villagers as a hoard of shadows and walking corpses spilled from the woods toward the village. As the wagon carrying Eleanor rounded a bend in the road, she saw a shaft of divinely summoned daylight sear into the undead mass. But still, they came.

Eleanor was raised in the Sun Spire Abbey and taught the Pelorian faith. She waited in hope that, one day, her parents would come. As the years passed, hope turned to a desire for vengeance and a righteous determination to prevent events such as the one that took her parents from ever happening again.
