The Wheel of Time: The Trolloc Wars
Vigalio Carlavenya

Description

Bio

Vigalio Carlavenya (“Viggo” to his friends) is a jack of all trades, master of none. In truth, he is a thief, and not a very good one. He is from Tear and fled after a botched robbery and one of his “marks” recognized him and reported his activity to the authorities. There is a fifty crown bounty for the capture and return of Vigalio. The High Lord that placed the bounty has explicitly stated he doesn’t want Vigalio dead.

He is supremely confident in his abilities, almost to the point of arrogance, but not so much that he doesn’t know when to fight and when to run. He’s far to intelligent for that, and will cut out of a fight without any thought to honor, should the situation require it.

Despite his arrogance and rough past, he is actually a very charming and friendly fellow. Most people enjoy Vigalio’s company, truth be told. He enjoys games of chance, dice in particular, and has been known to spend the entire night in the taverns if he gets on a hot streak while gambling. He also enjoys drinking – anything from wine to the stoutest ale – and he is very good with the ladies..

Vigalio arrived in Kinslayer’s Dagger as part of the original convoy bound for Borderfort Ovaesa. He used what money he had saved from robbing homes to purchase a horse and wagon, and various goods that he planned to sell to the Almoren army when he arrived in Borderfort Ovaesa. For the time being he has planned to use his given abilities with his tongue to make a living selling trinkets and dry goods where he can. Once the heat on him from Tear has subsided (or he gets bored), he will no doubt resume his illicit activities, but for the time being he wishes to be “legit”.

Vigalio took a serious blow to the head by a trolloc hammer during the attack and was knocked unconscious. When he awoke, he began following the road and eventually came across a group of humans battling trollocs near a stone bridge. After their victory, he decided they were “worthy” of his company and asked to join their party. There is safety in numbers, after all.

Vigalio comes from a commoner family. His brother, Rogalio Carlavenya, is a Gleeman and is well known in the southern parts of the Westlands.

He traveled with the heroes for a short time, separating with the party when the Dreadlord’s armies marched on Mora’s Eye. His brother, Rogalio, had taken quite a liking to the small town and chose to stay with the military and defend Mora’s Eye. As a result, Viggo felt an urge to stay behind as well and do his best to keep his brother alive.

That plan most likely failed as all evidence suggests that Mora’s Eye has been lost. Viggo is presumed dead.
