A plate helm that embues its user with the ability to summon the dead to serve them.
A cleric of the Great Old One may summon the dead at a rate of 1 corpse per 4 levels. The corpse(s) will serve the cleric for from the moment the sun disappears behind the horizon until the moment the sun rises in the morning. A cleric of the Great Old One may use this power once every night. Until level 8, summoning is automatic – the helm will summon the closest body as soon as it is put on! After level 8, the cleric has better control of the helm and can summon the undead when he or she wishes during the night.
If he or she is a cleric of any other deity, they can summon 1 corpse for every 8 levels in the same manor. However, they can only use the powers of the helm once a week, and summoning is automatic. The helm will summon the closest body as soon as it is put on!
Zah’rael Fireborn’s Plate Helm of Summoning.
It is a beautiful plate helm with sawn-down stag antlers branching from it. An amazing find, this helm belonged to the Eladrin Cleric Zah’rael Fireborn. “_The dead shall serve me_” is scripted in gold lettering in ancient Eladrin.
Legend tells that a Cleric of the Great Old one can use the power of the Hormed Helm to summon the undead to fight for him or her.
