At first, Lambanein was mentioned by Aya, when asked why she was helping Romen & Bem. “I do this as a favor for a friend, for she owes Lambanein & this erases her debt. For it is a deep one.”
After the stones activated in the temple, sending back some memory to Romen & Bem, they realized they had done some work for him in the past.
When in Incus, Lostris told them she had been a friend to Lambanein, & owed him a great favor. She implied he had since changed, & the last time she had seen him was about two years ago.
After the escape from Incus, & before the discovery of the Ruins of Kho, Bem dreamed of her past once again. Words of time swirled in her ears, years, months. She saw herself performing as a job for Lambanein, distracting while other agents stole things.
Alopexin the Mask, in the Ruins of Kho, revealed that Lambanein had been dead for quite some time, & his body must be somewhere in the ruins, if not digested already by the earth.
Later, after Jerrod discovered the green frog, Romen, Bem, Lostris, Kalos, & Jerrod saw a yellow month-old corpse which – at first, to Romen at least – was Lambanein! He was hunched hanging over a round stone dais. Upon further inspection, Jerrod noticed the dais may be hollow inside. He found a sort of switch, & he, Lostris, & Romen lifted it up.
The stench of decay, waste, & dust filled their nostrils, but they persevered. They put the lid on the side, finding the real Lambanein! (as Darkness told Jerrod).
Romen pulled him out of the dais & looked for anything on his person. Shortly after an enormous spider leg burst through the stone bottom – from the Chasm! The party ran, Kalos shutting the door behind them & breaking off the green frog.
Lambanein has been found. But to what end?
