The snob of the Constructicons, Hook considers himself an artist. He looks upon the rest of the Decepticons almost as peasants, beneath him to a degree. Though full of himself, Hook is a master craftsman, having truly earned his insufferable ego. His high standards that he holds himself and others to means he takes extra care to ensure even the most simple of jobs is completed to the nth degree of perfection. Although Megatron acknowledges Hook’s incredible skill, he gets impatient with the time it takes Hook to finish his work. Hook cannot understand the frustration at the delays this causes, he just sees it as doing the job right.
? BCE (Before the Great War)
Megatron Origin 2 – Hook and the other Constructicons built arena sites on Cybertron for the illegal gladitorial matches. At one point, Megatron, together with Rumble and Frenzy arrived too early. There they met Soundwave who offered weapons and technology. Megatron discovered two spies, and killed them both, learning that the gladiators were hunted by the Autobots. Megatron ordered Scrapper to quit building and leave the site.
Megatron Origin 3 – As the other Constructicons, Hook makes repairs to Megatron’s gladiator team after a fight. He was there when Soundwave came in and introduced the Seekers to Megatron. Hook was working on Megatron himself when Soundwave came in, and was later ordered to modify the Seekers with the technology and weapons gained through Soundwave.
