The woman, pleated skirt making a slight swishing sound as the fabric slides along her figure places her palm along the frosted glass plate placed to the right of the secured door. She feels the minute warmth of the red light passing over her hand momentarily before a quick beep and the hard “clack” of the bolt release to the door signals her entrance. Entering through the door, she does not pause, knowing the door will automatically close as soon as she passes the sensors embedded within. The two guards, never in the same position quickly gesture, then hold their positions as signals arrive within their earpieces that she is who the scan identified. “Morning, Ma’am.” “Gentlemen, is he in?” “Yes, ma’am. He’ll have 40 minutes before his first appointment.” “Thank you.” Walking down the hallway, she passes glass cases, many of them full of varying contract and design awards the firm had accumulated over the years, but as she reaches an archway, two new cases appear, both empty. “Getting ready for the announcement, I see.” as she passes by. As she enters through the arch, she is taken in by the floor to ceiling glass windows that wrap around the entire office, only pausing at the wall containing the archway. At the southwest corner of the office, behind a simple, but well constructed desk, sits a man, looking much younger than his actual age, staring intently at a computer screen. His eyes peer up momentarily before gesturing her over with his hand. as she sits, adjusting her position slightly and smoothing her skirt out, she opens her mouth to speak, but is halted by the gentlemen. “I know what you’re about to say.” “Then you’ve reviewed our report, along with his resume and file?”

The man leans back, his black hair already covered in flicks of silver, the large silver ring on his right hand catching some of the light from his desk lamp.
“I have, I must admit, while his father and I have been close friends, and business rivals, I was not expecting this”, he gestures towards the file.

The man opens a desk drawer, reaches in, and slides a bulging package her way.
“Already booked passage to Banderhue. take who, or whatever you think you may need.”
“Find out what happened to him, if anything, his parents deserve to know what happened to their son.”
“Yes, sir.”
“And Bis?”
“Yes, Father?”
“I’ll save the captain and his crew for you when you get back.”
“Thank you, Daddy.”
