A doctor of impressive drive during life, the First and Forsaken Lion took a man of knowledge and healing not to add a general to his ranks, but to add an army and a kingdom! As a student of life, death, and the complexity in what becomes of the body and soul there after the good doctor was almost too eager to cast away his mortal life for the supernatural peak beyond the veil. Taking on the name of “Silk Smooth Fingers of Death,” the newly risen Abyssal quickly discovered his capability for his craft and medicine exploding within his own mind and immediately set his nimble fingers to work. The Forsaken Lion was pleased with his new servant’s eagerness and ability, but even drawing him in for his mind, he refused to tolerate weakness. The Deathlord crushed Silk’s newly immortal body, ripping one of Silk’s arms from his body. He bade the bleeding exalt to use his one flesh to craft new necrotic wonders under the duress of pain. Shocked but morbidly piqued to study his own internal workings, the former doctor did as he was commanded, working carefully with his remaining arm. Again satisfied with his exalt’s resolve The First and Forsaken Lion soon gifted him with a ghostly reproduction of an alchemical artifact granting Silk his spectral limbs. He then taught the young deathknight to use his hands and body, particularly the fingers of which he was so proud, as a weapon to defend himself, his master, and his creations as well as create a proper supply of raw materials. Only when he had finally mastered the form of an Abyssal Hero did his dark lord allow Silk to recreate his own arm. As the subject of his own first Bone Graft Technique, the necrotic left arm he managed to craft appeared frail and deformed but allowed him to return to his craft and study immediately. Silk wore his withered limb for many years while he traveled and studied.
