Holy Symbol of Pelor

Description

This holy symbol of Pelor uses a design that hasn’t been seen outside a church museum for ages. The artifact shines as bright as a torch when used by a penitent follower of Pelor and the light can only be blocked if the entire artifact is wrapped in a thick cloth.

If the follower spends at least an hour every morning using this symbol as their focus for prayer, it gains the ability to cast Searing Light 2x a day. As this object becomes an extension of the wielder, it uses the player’s caster level when calculating range and damage.

An undead creature takes 1d6 points of damage per caster level (maximum 10d6), and an undead creature particularly vulnerable to bright light takes 1d8 points of damage per caster level (maximum 10d8). A construct or inanimate object takes only 1d6 points of damage per two caster levels (maximum 5d6).
