Warmech Albeicht
An old halfling and follower of Saint Mir, he holds the rank of Lord Protector in Lear and is an adivsor to the Emperor
Description
Warmech is an old, bespectacled halfling cowled in a blue-gray robe. He has a kindly, almost grandfatherly smile, that is at odds with his piercing gaze. He is adorned in well made clothes with the markings of the Learen Empire on them. About his neck is a simple, silver Holy Symbol denoting him as a follower of Saint Mir.
Bio
Warmech Albeicht is a professed follower of Saint Mir, a Loyalist, and adviser to the Emperor of Lear. He holds the rank of Lord Protector of Lear and states that he is leader of the Peacekeepers. The party first encounters him on the docks in a city south of Lear. He is receiving a shipment of illicit goods from Baron Veritas through the Pharin and Benedict trading lines.
The party is found by the Peacekeepers on the ship and is escorted to the keep, where they are interviewed about their actions by Warmech. After hearing their story he encourages to eat their dinner. Warmech directed them to a processing room, so that they could go on their way. Instead the party saw a giant crystal that sapped away all hostile emotions from everyone that was affected by a toxin the food. The party would have turned, except the All-Father was angered at the corruption of his priest and took over Mikhail Pharin’s body and rained the wrath of heavenly fire upon the city. They last saw Warmech standing in the smoke of his ruined castle, glaring at them as they made their escape.
The party was able to bring a sample of food back to Colem Thunderhead to analyze to determine the properties of the toxin.
