Zoe’s Outlook Prior to the First Season of Her Show…
Zoe Monroe, holds PhDs in both parapsychology and quantum physics and is employed at a major university as a parapsychology professor. Currently she is trying to set up a network as a unique expert on ghost hunting and paranormal history, seeking out other active researchers who are willing to participate in tracking down reports of paranormal activity in their region of the country. Zoe is responsible for the main theoretical framework for their paranormal/quantum studies and is a master at electronics as well as paranormal detection. As the founding associate of the network, she contributes her expertise to the inventions and gadgets they use.
At this time, Zoe is accepting new members from all across the country for her network of spirit hunters, paranormal experts and ghost enthusiasts. She hopes that her new show will attract these professionals and aficionados that will be the core of her team. The goals of Zoe’s group are to seek out and authenticate evidence of ghosts, explore reports of sightings, and conduct investigations into paranormal activity.
Zoe’s Outlook Now Following Three Seasons of Her Show…
After three seasons of her fairly successful Discovery Channel network show, Paranormal Explorers (A title that the team didn’t care for, but the Discovery Channel Execs loved!). The Execs and the team eventually settled on: Secret Hunters which was a battle just in itself. Zoe and her team have reluctantly returned extremely skeptical about continuing their investigations into supernatural nonsense. They believe that they have been pursuing nothing but a series of hoaxes all these years and even though the team has accepted this as true, the fans of the show don’t feel that way at all. The cable network Executives have blocked almost every decision that her team wanted to undertake ie. taking the investigations in a more scientific direction, promising them all different aspirations that will keep them working on the show, but never truly intending on keeping.
Now the Discovery Channel Execs have been more-or-less bullying the team into making a number of investigative documentaries on UFO sightings, famous ghost hauntings and other supernatural and unexplained mysteries. The team, if truth be told, would like nothing better than to call it quits. But since the Discovery Channel network is pressuring them for these specials and offering them big bucks to do so, the team is halfheartedly considering sticking it out for a bit longer.
