From the age of two, Ina was raised in an orphanage after her Human mother and Elven father were killed by purists. It was one of these same purists who raised Ina, telling her throughout her youth that she was an aberrant thing, and very lucky that the Matron of the orphanage did not hold the sins of Ina’s parents against her, and bleed her out upon her mother’s breast.
Ina quickly came to seek comfort in music and song, discovering a proclivity for composition. Her favorite songs were those about slaughtering those who had wronged her. Through study of these songs and poems she came to know and worship the god Erythnul.
Now Ina is sixteen human years of age. She has endured the cruel tutelage of Matron Hadderly’s orphanage for fourteen years, and her worship of Erythnul has convinced Ina of one thing: the best way to silence those who would torment her is to kill them, and it’s simply more fun to kill them when they’re afraid.
A combination of bloodlust, curiosity, and the all-consuming desire to leave the care of Matron Hadderly are her reasons for joining the expedition to the Prison of Sorrows.
