Alastor first appeared to the party as a translucent 13-year-old farm boy with a broken neck, long black fingernails, and a demoniac glare in his eyes. He possessed Xan and told his sad story. He offered to open the otherwise impassable metal door to the true tomb in return for the adventurers burying his bones with his family.
