The Fall of Man
There were no symptoms and no warnings. An unexplained and indiscriminate wave of death spread rapidly across the face of the planet. In under 48 hours the vast majority of the human race were struck down suffering violent and agonizing deaths. Billions died choking on their own blood as it flooded their lungs and hemorrhaged from their eyes, ears and noses.
Only a few desperate people were spared this hideous agonizing death. These unfortunate survivors then found themselves plunged ever deeper into a living hell. Within minutes those who had fallen started to rise again. These walking cadavers have little memory of their former selves. They have nothing left to them but one all consuming ravenous desire to attack the living and devour their warm pulsating flesh.
No authority or society in the world had a contingency plan capable to handling a catastrophe of this scale. Governments, armies and emergency services were thrown into complete disarray as the structures of command collapsed and the hordes of the dead swelled.
The pitiable survivors were now left to fend for themselves in a world that had suddenly turned extremely hostile and dangerous. The comfortable and protected world that humanity had created for itself was as dead as the shambling mindless wretches that now prowled the remains of once mighty nations.
The very existence of mankind is now teetering upon the edge of the abyss. Not since pre-historic times has the human population reached such desperate levels. This horrific event could herald the very extinction of the human race.
You as survivors are now faced with a few simple choices. Do you lie down and die? Do you rage hopelessly at fate ? Or do you take up the hammer and smash the tide of gnashing teeth that want to bite your face off? Can you slice out a life worth living in this harsh new world? Can your mind take the strain of living in constant danger and fear? Is this an act of God or is their some possible cure? Will you protect the weak or prey on them? Will you ensure that mankind survives this apocalypse and help to rebuild society, or revert to savagery and barbarism?
As each new sunrise is now a silent victory against the darkness you fear what tomorrow will bring. Will you survive to tell the tale?
