Bio

Appearance

Description: Thick dark hair is hidden under a green bandana to keep it out of his face. He maintains a very clean appearance as he has been used to being of a higher and admittedly pampered status. He wears the traditional scale armor of the Godago dragon tribe warriors. Traditionally the scales are made of bronze and painted yellow with red and black symbols telling the story of the warriors accomplishments. Agon had painted his completely black after failing to avenge his tribe and being captured by his foes. He wears the armor always. He also carries a light shield strapped to his back that he also painted black which belonged to his brother. He carries a khopesh hunting axe which was his fathers which he keeps strapped to his side at all times. His most important possession is his mother’s talisman. It is a small eight sided wooden amulet with symbols etched into the edges of all eight sides. The language looks similar to draconic but Agon cannot understand it. He keeps around his neck and hidden beneath his armor. These items are all that he has left from his tribe. When he returned to bury his kin robbers and looters had claimed whatever else was left behind when he had set out in pursuit of his quarry.

Background

Born under the sign of the purple star he had only known luxury and privilege within his tribe. Still his life was one of constant training and tests. He was one of the ‘chosen’ to serve the dragon. The prosperity of his tribe depended on him, and he could not fail his kin.

It was during the winter of his sixteenth year when the elders called him to council. He knelled before the tribal leaders for sometime before they spoke. The time was nearing, but he was not ready to face the challenges ahead. Agon was a prideful youth and was unable to accept the elders’ decision. He defied the elders’ word and traveled to the dragons cave. He would face the dragon and receive the draconic powers that he had been entitled to since birth.

When he reached his destination something was wrong. Many tracks led into the cave. He entered to find the place desecrated and the gold dragon, their tribes venerated god and protector lay dead. Glory and power had lost all meaning to Agon.

Upon leaving the cave he could see a large fire at the base of the mountain where his people were. Those hours spent racing down the mountain felt like an eternity. No matter how hard he pushed himself to reach his friends and family it was far too late. Amongst the dead he found his brother, barely conscious but gravely wounded. Before he died he told Agon about how fire rained down from the sky and strange creatures in dark robes raided the camp. Those who resisted were unprepared and slaughtered. Those who survived were enslaved… It was up to him to save them.

Agon spent weeks tracking these murderers, his heart filled with rage, and mind blind with vengeance. Once again, he was too late. His kin wasn’t captured for servitude, but for sacrifice. His quarry was gone, but the remains of his kin lay in a sacrificial circle. He lost track of the raiders after burying and mourning over the dead. He would spend years traveling throughout Palastan on the trail of the strange dark robed creatures.

During these years he was befriended by an elf named Mamon, a gnoll named Gidjet, and a human named Sappho who all resided in Carper’s Bay. Through a clever combination of misdirection and stealth they had saved him from certain death after he was captured by a small group of the strange creatures. Agon was grateful that he would still have his chance for vengeance, but it would have to wait. To continue pursuing his enemies without a plan or the strength to back it would take his life and leave his tribe unavenged.

In the last few years he had begun to train with them under the tutelage of Master Brutus and Master Engar. He had found some peace in his companions and feels like this could be his new home. He has not given up on avenging his tribe though, and he trains for the day when he will be strong enough to slay every last one of his foes. He wakes up early this morning in his tent outside of the village and walks towards the village to meet his friends at their usual training grounds. Unknown to Agon this is where his story really begins.

Characteristics

Quick to act in order to take control of the situation if his friends lives are being threatened and will always attempt to maneuver his way between oncoming danger and his friends in order to take the brunt of the damage. He trains and works hard daily to build his strength and is always willing to test himself against the odds. He is not outgoing with strangers and becomes confrontational and paranoid if he suspects he is being manipulated. He is very persuasive when he needs to be but it is usually not his first option.
