Maria was born in New Haven, CT, the daughter of Carlos and Eva Santigo. Carlos wis a proffesor of History and Eva a proffesor of Chemistry at Yale. She spent her summers travelling the world with her parents, and after graduating from Yale with a degree in Anthropology and Biology, she decided to take her passion for wild, unexplored places to the public. She now stars in a cable documentary series called “Jungle” where she and her brave cameraman Bill Chestos venture into the most wild, unexplored areas of the earth she can find. Maria lives for adventure and craves new and exciting experiances. She is a short, lithe woman..and many people have underetimated her tenacity and drive, just because she is a petite, attractive female.
