Biograph: In the year 2025, the United Nations of America is at war with the Japanese Alliance- the single, solitary, remaining sovereign nation not under the control of President Clement Origen and his Synod. Few who know the truth remain; few know that the President is actually a millennia-old Nephilim known as Apocatastasis.

Even fewer are willing to take a stand against his reign of tyranny. These scant few surviving Neo-Sapiens have surrendered themselves to the service of the alliance. They are the Vindicators, heroes who act as the last bastion for mankind…

…and they are led by a seventeen-year-old boy.

Hikari is the leader of the Vindicators, a team of teenaged heroes struggling to take down Apocatastasis. They are the last students of the New Vindicators Academy, trained by the administration of that time: Doctor James Howell, Alan Altair, Brian Hart, David and Melynda Kennel, David Meinstein, Adonis and Laura Skraag.

In the wake of the previous team’s defeat, the elder heroes began to concentrate on attempting to find a way to travel back in time and prevent the coming of Apocatastasis. Still, in order to conquer time they needed to buy some time and Hikari volunteered himself as a decoy.

His friends stood beside him, raiding the United Nations of America and battling the Synod. Together, the Vindicators managed to stave off the Japanese Alliance’s inevitable defeat. Then, everything changed the day they defeated three of Synod.

As she lay dying, Breanne Jordan revealed to Hikari that there was a thirteenth member of the Synod; one of the Vindicators – one of his friends – was a traitor to the cause and was reporting directly to Apocatastasis.

It was that which marked the end of the Vindicators. Hikari was tortured by Breanne’s warnings. He tried to tell himself she was lying; he tried to tell himself she had only said that to unsettle him and get him to stop trusting his friends. Still, he owed it to the others to investigate and see if there truly was a mole in their group.

There was. One of the Vindicators had betrayed the others and in the wake of such a revelation, Hikari buried his friends and family… even his fiancé, Neige. The only survivor of the team, Hikari returned to the other heroes and volunteered to journey back in time with David Meinstein…
