Biography: James R Tiberius Kirk prefers to go by JT, for obvious reasons. Raised in foster care, the young man spent years with no inkling of his true heritage. It wasn’t until his power to displace himself (or his senses) through shadows manifested that he learned of his origin…

His father was Michael Connors, the man known to the world as the villainous Shadow. As the second child Connors had sired by a henchwoman, Angelina Kirk, custody of JT was given over to the New Vindicators Academy of America.

For some time he presented himself as a trouble-some child. He used his Shadow-Scrying abilities to watch his female classmates shower or change and his Shadow-Walking to obtain alcohol and cigarettes which he managed to sell for a hefty profit. Though some of his deeds came to the attention of his educators, the young man was able to wiggle out of nearly every punishment put upon him.

As JT reached his senior year, his sights fell on two students. He became enamored with Atlanta White, the New Vindicator known as Rumble, and befriended Jeremy Carlson (also known as Deimos). His mask of perpetual mischief-maker came off the night that Malachi “Kiln” Brown was murdered- revealing himself to Deimos as a member of the Affiliation, a group of Neo-Sapiens with dark ambitions. After failing to persuade Deimos to their side, Lurker withdrew into the shadows… only reappearing months later as the Affiliation’s tactics began to pick up steam.

He next appeared at what would have been his high school graduation, were it not for his defection to the Affiliation. Following the leader’s plan to divide and conquer the New Vindicators, Lurker was given the task of dealing with Deimos. Leaving from one shadow, Lurker pulled his former friend into another- putting them both in the boiler room beneath the school for their battle.

In the wake of the Affiliation’s defeat, Lurker is one of the few members shown to be truly loyal to their leader. Still, something lurks beneath the surface of the façade JT Kirk allows people to see… The young man is determined to grow and become the sort of threat to the world his father has always been.
