Biography: Addison Truman was a good girl. Growing up on the Princess Bride and her world was filled of dreams of marriage and fairy princesses; it was a storybook fantasy- impenetrable to the threat of reality banging on the door.

Her mother had died giving birth to her and her twin sister, Madison. Her father never suspected that the woman he had fallen so helplessly in love with was a Neo-Sapien- nor that she would pass on her genetic gifts to her daughter. Addison’s abilities triggered one day at school when she had climbed the roof to feed the birds the physical science class caged up for their studies in aviation. When she slipped and fell from the roof, her life flashed before her eyes. Equally blessed and cursed with great feathered wings erupting from her back, Addison Truman’s body had only begun its transformation into her avian form. Her eyesight was becoming more birdlike. Her feet and hands were developing into talons. Unlike her mother she could not control the transformation- she was cursed with the appearance of an avian and in a world where humanity hates Neo-Sapiens, she became a caged bird.

It wasn’t until meeting Quinton Jorgenson, the child genius known as Quint, that she was allowed to live a normal life. Given what Quinton dubbed the Morph Buckle, a sheer hologram masked her appearance. She had to be careful in public- in case someone bumped into her now invisible wings. Still, she loved it. She was able to go to a normal high school and have normal friends.

Unfortunately, one of those friends was Lawanda Murphy, the multi-appendaged girl known as Black Widow. Lawanda had been recruited into the Affiliation and she wanted to share that with her only friend. Disturbed by the knowledge of the Affiliation’s true ambitions, Avian turned to her advisors- unfortunately telling a teacher already tapped by the very villains she was snitching on. The order was given to silence the young girl before she could tell the RIGHT people and Addison was suffocated in her sleep- ending both her life and career as a New Vindicator.
