Biography: In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth…

Many know the Biblical account of Creation. Few know what transpired in the first week detailed in the first chapter of the Book of Genesis. On the second day, God created the choirs of angels and amongst the choir of seraphim was Maonghah- the angel of the moon and the mental harmonizer. On the sixth day, God created man… and everything went downhill from there.

The archangel Lucifer resented that man had been created in God’s image while angels, the race the morning star saw as being superior to humanity, were just simply made. Refusing to acknowledge the image and likeness of God, let alone the dominion over the earth God gave Adam, Lucifer rebelled and a war was waged. The end result was that God forever banished the rebellious angels.

In the fall, Maonghah watched as his flaming swords no longer burned the purest white and instead turned as black as his dark heart. In the war, Lucifier described him as the destroyer. Maonghah embraced the name and became Abaddon, the Angel of the Abyss.

Abaddon had little to do with orchestrating the Second Fall many centuries later. Indeed, few of the Fallen were willing to add to their number. Though countless angels had fallen from grace, only the seraphim possessed the ability to leave Hell on their own. Originally, only six had the power to traverse to earth but Semyazza’s actions inducted Samael into their number.

Indeed, he was too occupied with raising his beloved son… the Nephilim who would become Apocatastasis. While Samael’s son, Aryan, and his group of heroes fought against Apocatastasis, Abaddon and Samael fought their own war. The two have been bitter enemies ever since and while most of their cousins are content to use their abilities to summon other fallen angels to earth, unleashing them and allowing them to wreak havoc, these two have been content to plot against each other.

Over the course of the last few millennia, Abaddon took the identity of the Locust King and began to construct six centuries of degenerated, godless, inhuman behavior today known as the Dark Ages. It was during this time that Samael as well took a human guise and rallied a new group of Gibborim to battle his ancient foe.

It is unknown what caused their thousand years of cease fire, but for many years, nothing was heard from either side until Abaddon began to move again. He worked to spread his seed, creating an army of Nephilim in the hopes that he could produce an heir capable of reviving his long lost son, Apocatastasis. He even went so far as to conceive twins with his own daughter, creating the first Nephilim born from a Nephilim.

NEW VINDICATORS: Radix Malorum Est Cupiditas – Samael came to realize what Abaddon was plotting and attempted to create a champion to stand against Apocatastasis. Empowering Drew Jenkins with the abilities Abaddon’s beloved child possessed, Samael steered Drew into the New Vindicators Academy, intending to cross Drew’s paths with the Nephilim children Samael had sired.

Ultimately, Samael involved himself in the young heroes’ war with the Affiliation and Abaddon saw his chance. Dispatching his son, the villain renown as the Shadow, Abaddon watched as Samael was slain and then rejoiced as Drew Jenkins perished soon after.

NEW VINDICATORS: Absit Omen – While Abaddon continued to search for the heralds destined to revive Apocatastasis, he came into contact with several of his children endowed with prophetic powers. They began to prophesy that Apocatastasis would return, but also spoke of the rise of the Gibborim. Part infuriated with their responses and part confused, Apocatastasis pushed on and ultimately came into contact with Drew Jenkins once more…

Though Drew’s body had been destroyed in the White War, his essence had merged with the energy Samael commanded- effectively allowing Drew to transcend physicality and become a being composed entirely of white hellfire. In this form, he vowed to stop Abaddon anyway he could.
