Durgaden operates a tavern on Hillstop Way. He came by the tavern through a friend that mysteriously vanished over ten years ago. He adventured for a long time before he became a blacksmith. He operated a smithy for Dwarven warriors and soldiers at the great Mithril Hall. His work and ability caught the eye of King Brunor and many of his weapons were then fashioned for the Dwarven King’s private guard. Not long after that a large scale attack was launched upon the Dragon Coast from denizens of the Underdark. In the attack Durgaden sealed his smithy and the King’s vault beneath the hall to protect his secrets. Some of his weapons have been found across the Realms and have considerable value due to the fact that they can surpass masterwork quality. He has now given up his blacksmithing days and “relaxes” by inciting tavern brawls in the hope that he will get to break them up alone. He is a strong, valid warrior and still holds the rank of Dwarven Master Simth in Dwarven regards.
