Karov is the Third Lord of Sorrow’s Gate, the home of the Order of Seropaenes.

Karov was born in Brynn fourty-five years ago and as a young man joined the Order of Illumination as a paladin. Shortly after he was brought into the Order he was approached by the Seropaeneans who existed in secret even then.

In the Cataclysm Karov and the other Seropaeneans abandoned Whitecastle, now little more than ruins, with a wealth of magic items taken from the Order’s vaults and established a fortified town to help protect survivors of Whitecastle from monsters and the vile magics of demon-callers.

Karov hates wizards and sorcerers with all his heart but the Seropaeneans fear that the Orcs could destroy Sorrow’s Gate if they are not placated. Karov hopes that he can ally the orcs instead of fight them and he and his forces, a hundred human knights, fight with them to cement the alliance.
