What's commonly known about Geoffrey Brand, Mayor of Singleton:

Geoffrey is the patriarch of the Brand family, one of the oldest and most powerful in the area.  The Brand clan is are rumored to have been instrumental in holding the Keoish armies at bay in the 450s, and many names in the area begin or end in 'brand'.  

Geoffrey has been elected mayor for the last three elections (six-year terms).  It is one year from the next election, and no serious challenger is on the ballot.  A Brand has worn the mayor's chain for as long as anyone can remember, and Geoffrey has worn it for seventeen years running.

Adrianna, Geoffrey's Half-Elven wife died many years ago, and he has never remarried.  She bore him four children, two sons and two daughters.  The oldest is almost twenty-five, and the youngest is thirteen.

By most reports, Geoffrey has been a good mayor, but he's made more than a few enemies along the way.  No, nobody I'll talk about in public, but he's not universally loved…
