Bio

Alexan was born to Verteni and Gabriel Ghazaros, nobles of Gamlon. He grew up by the sides of many of the wealthier Gamlonians, including his cousin Itenshi Eckel. Alexan was educated from a young age and expected to carry on the Ghazaros name with his father's business.

Alexan was never particularly drawn to the Following, but never turned his back on the belief either, he spent much of his life in libraries. Even in his withdrawn state, Alexan met a woman and married her, but the relationship would be strained from his complete enamorment with knowledge.

Alexan went to medical school in Lon and later in the Badonian Academy in Montahg, taking his wife with him. He took an interest in Alchemy, which at the time was barely more than a theory, and attempted to meld Alchemy and medicine into a single field. At this time, Alexan was offered a head physician position at Saint Brendan's Isle.

After a brief return to his homeland of Gamlon, Alexan set off with his wife, now expecting a child, to Saint Brendan's Isle. Life on the island was quiet and extremely rewarding for Alexan. The need for a physician was low but the pay was extremely good and much of the population was too busy with the Following to ever bother Alexan.

That is, until one day a disease struck the island. At first, Alexan believed it to be some sort of airbourne agent, as the disease caused uncontrollable coughing fits. All attempts made by Alexan to cure the disease were in vain. He could only watch as the disease claim the lives of his wife, child, and friends on the island. Alexan was one of the last to die. He worked in his office until the last hours of his life, trying to find some sort of cure for the terrible disease.

A creature awoke inside a crypt. The creature, humanoid in shape and lacking any sort of organs and flesh, stood in the center of the crypt, looking at a bright light in the corner of the stone burial site. The light was coming from a giant hole in the wall. With some maneuvering, the creature was able to escape his stone crypt. The creature soon found the reason for his freedom from the crypt; another creature much like himself that came to call himself J. Greggory.

The creatures worked together to free more of their kind from the crypts. Then, awaiting for their brethren to awaken from their slumber, returned to the only town on Saint Brendan's Isle. Much of the town was in ruins from the elements and lack of maintenance for the past ten years.

The creatures began to slowly rebuild their old lives, trying to find loved ones and peice together the fragmentated memories of their past lives. Except for two of the creatures. The two, which would later be known as Raziel and Typhoid, did not engage in such futile endeavors. The pair investigated the island and the surrounding storm, searching for any answers to their untimely deaths, undead nature, and a way back to the mainland.

After nearly three years of investigation, research, and alchemical experiments, Raziel had achieved his goals. He came to the conclusion that Alchemy isnt just a language of power but a living entity. This living entity has a will and manipulates the world to achieve this will. Raziel begins to suspect that the Risen are the result of this will. In that three years, Raziel has also built a gigantic galley to navigate the storm and reach mainland Hyboria.

The Risen, after the storm and subsequent voyage to Hyboria, crash land in Trada. The Risen, creatures of horror and pain, are curious to see how Hyboria will recieve their existence.
