Bio
Phase One
Born the son of German chemist Elsa Werner and American physicist Marcus William Anders III. From an early age, the young boy was gifted at building things, first elaborate wood tracks for marbles and toy cars and later systems of pulleys and winches to automate his daily chores. His parents, amused by the ingenuity of their boy, encouraged him and still have many of his childhood creations. It was during this period that he earned the nickname “Sparky.”
Aspects: “I can build it!”, “It might work better like this…”
Phase Two
Sponsored by Professor Maxwell Thresher, Sparky joined the Centurion Club at a quite young age, quickly gaining the moniker The Hephaestus Kid due to the vast number of inventions he provided for various club members. He also learned how to use his fists from one “Shotgun” Bill Pardy. When both Bill and Professor Thresher disappeared on a mission in Germany, Sparky was devastated and vowed to find or avenge them.
Aspects: “I’ll find my mentors!”, “Gee, would you show me that?”
Phase Three The Living Locomotive vs. the Tunguska Terror
Drawn by reports of a strange being appearing on the location of the Tunguska explosion, Sparky (now calling himself The Living Locomotive and wearing a suit of armor made from the boiler of a retired steam train) ventured to rural Russia to investigate. Once there he did indeed find a mysterious being, who’d been dubbed the Tunguska Terror by the locals. The being was a large humanoid of indeterminate gender, with a bulky frame and guttural voice. Using his powerful armor, Sparky was victorious and he returned home with a new moniker… The Iron Icon!
Aspects: “You can call me…”, “It fell from the skies!”
