Bio

Hhok Battlehand, along with his only brother, left the Dwarven Mror Holds as a youth, traveling the lands of Khorvaire for a while before ending up in the service of Wroann, ruler of Breland during part of the Last War. Under Wroann’s service, Hhok survived many a bloodstained battlefield across Khorvaire, as he and his comrades were sent to the far corners of Khorvaire to spread Breland’s ideas of democracy and liberty, though at the point of a sword and the business end of a war hammer. Hhok rose through the ranks of Breland soldiers quickly due to his ability to lead others, and soon became commander of his own elite unit of warriors, as did his brother, who led a similiar unit.

When King Boranel took the throne of Breland, Hhok’s unit, and all those like his, were disbanded and the military commanders were exiled. Hhok’s brother disappeared, along with other commanders, though Hhok avoided their fate by fleeing Breland immediately. It is rumored that the king assassinated Hhok’s brother and the other disappeared commanders. Hhok holds onto the hope, however, that his brother survived and is alive somewhere, though possibly in hiding. Hhok has been wandering the face of Khorvaire in search of his brother ever since, serving many masters, though none for as long or with all his heart as he did under Wroann.

His greatest enemy is the military minister of of the King of Breland, the man responsible for the fall of the old Breland military. His greatest goals are to find his brother, alive or dead, and to exact vengeance on the King’s military minister.

Hhok is a trained and tested military commander, and is most comfortable when leading his comrades in battle. He longs to be reunited with his brother, and to feel a part of something greater, as he did in the service of Breland under Wroann. Although he has fought alongside and against many female warriors, he has never married, or had a serious relationship, prefering the company of whores to settle his needs rather than become truly intimate with another.

His weapon is the warhammer, and it is always near at hand, even when he sleeps. He is fond of ale, though rarely drinks to excess, except on those few occasions when the loss of his earlier life overwhelms him.
