Born in the sleep hamlet of Summer's End the Servaunt boy, Marcel, followed in the family tradition of enlisting with the Duke's army. While his father had been a commander during the Wizard's War the young Marcel was slow to violence but an innate healer. Though the church of Cassandra he was instructed in the basic arts of divine healing and field medicines.
