_messiah is not so much as a person as he is a persona, an online handle that Eugenia has come to know through Truth.net. _messiah is an active member of the group and apparently a preternaturally skilled hacker. He always seems to know what is going on at all times, and has taken a real interest in Eugenia’s life.

His real name and gender are unknown, and even a skilled hacker finds it difficult to find information regarding him. He always signs off on all his messages with the signature “I love it when we touch…”, and uses an avatar that depicts a statue of the Virgin Mary producing tears.

Although he is mysterious, he has never given anyone reason to distrust him.
