Bio
From the Journal of Valum Sulatar, father of Valum Dax
... Then my son, Dax, was born. I will admit that I have not been father of the year for the boy and that over time I have lost track of him, but I can tell you about his youth and how he changed my life. See, before Daxey was born I never expected a family life for myself. Mayhaps thats what lead me to have his mother dealt with, permanently. Being a single father wasn’t much easier though.
I remember when little Daxey was five he got into one of my men’s footlocker. We found him sitting on the floor playing with a Karpov Rosenkov, fake shooting it at the walls. Lucky for my man his safety was on and my boy didn’t get hurt. I guess that day set the tone for Daxey’s childhood. He was always getting into stuff he should stay away from but it never hurt the poor kid.
He left the house when he was sixteen and set off to be his own person. I stayed in touch for a couple years but when I decided to retire we drifted apart. He thought I had gone soft but I was just tired of the job. I hear about him now and again through the grapevine; last I heard he hooked up with some mercs and is starting his own company. Following in his dad’s footsteps.
From the Journal of Valum Dax
My mom left Dad and me when I was just a baby. Stupid cunt, we showed her didn’t we Dad? My dad was a big shot on the Citadel and I knew from a young age that I was destined for greatness. After living under his roof by his rules for so many years, I took off on my own when I was sixteen. Determined to become my own person before returning to take up the family business. Then a couple years later Dad told me he’s sold the family business and has retired to some cushy penthouse in the West Blade of the citadel. Stupid old geezer, left nothing for me to inherit! His only son! Destined to build his own empire! The nerve.
I spent a few years doing petty stuff and odd jobs. Burglary there, credit fraud there. Nothing major. I made enough to get by for a few years before I had my windfall. Some rich bitch corporate busy body name of Taria L’Varum had some major corporate credit. She wasn’t my first identity theft but she was my biggest. I wasn’t stupid about it though, no big transactions. Nothing that could get traced. Still, I lived good for a few years off of her before deciding it was too risky to keep it up.
Imagine my surprise when she contacted me last year.
