Bio

Born to a Bralani of the Autumn Winds, Mindartis grew up like any other noble child. He was intelligent, even for a member of his race, and he was encouraged strongly, by his father, to become and practitioner of the arcane arts-a wizard, but did not find and interest or personal reward to becoming a wizard. He always preferred to fight in close combat, with others of great strength. His mother, seeing all of this, saw incredible promise in him becoming a battle leader, and told him of this warrior-like profession that harnessed his incredible intelligence. After this conversation with his mother, he immediately demanded, to his father, that he be permitted to go to the academy to learn the ways of tactical warfare, and his father denied his request immediately. Angered that he couldn’t what he wanted with permission, he did it without it. After decades away from home, learning this art, he returned to his parents, not a mere child anymore, but a capable warrior that is an able leader. Shortly after his return home, he and his father started getting into verbal fights, about his disobedience and his childish ways. After months of intense verbal fights, all the pent up physical rage and emotion building up inside him and his father was all let out. He and his father dueled each other for hours, Mindartis attempting to hit his father with his greatsword, but could never land a blow, while his father subdued him with crushing winds and shocks of lightning. The fight ended only when Mindartis’ mother broke up the fight. Feeling betrayed by his father, his ego crushed by his defeat, he left home, wishing to be anywhere but home. While wandering through the Feywild, he came upon a military base, which surrounded a great portal. He entered the camp and asked what all this was, he found out that the portal went to the mortal world, he was overwhelmed by a sense of curiosity and happiness. Happiness that he could build his own reputation, not be known as his father’s son, and the curiosity of discovering new things and meeting new people. He entered the portal and was overjoyed at the similarities in landscape the mortal world and the Feywild had in common. He felt more at home than he thought he would. But with no direction in this new world he traveled to the Imperial City to look for some sort of employment that put his training in the Feywild to good use. He happened upon the Delver’s Academy from a flyer he found while wondering through the city. He decided to sign up to become a member of a group that adventured and meet many new people, wanting nothing more. After all, that is what he came here for.
