The upstart Redleaf Dynamics company acquired a space craft manufacturing devision with the purchase of Brandise-Chao Stellar Engines and set to re-working old BCSE designs with updated technology. Their first few ships, the K-1 “Jackknife” and J-2 Transport were abysmal failures from a cost stand point. Reworking their product, the two ships were virtually combined into the J-2a Long-Hauler. Along with a reduced price, the J-2a feature fully modular systems links so up- and down-scaling became a cinch. It’s spacious cargo room, reasonable fuel consumption and high adaptability have made the J-2a a popular vessel especially in large, corporate fleets.

The Starlight Walker came into the possession of Mr. April as one of his many bulk purchases with carious manufacturers and sellers. Among other ships of the fleet, the ‘Walker does not stand out in anyway.
