The “Black Judge” is the second son of Earl Jago Ortra, and a knight famous for his travels and battles in Pintare. He left home on his seventeenth birthday determined to make a name for himself, only two days after taking his vows as a knight.

His battles have earned him his fair share of scars, and the most noticeable is a deep cleft that divides his left eyebrow and scores his cheek down to the edge of his jaw.

After almost a decade away, Damien Ortra is finally returning home, albeit on the long route and slowly. He’s making the tour of the major tournaments on his way home, earning himself additional renown.

He made landfall in Archos in the city of Deepwell, where he took second place in both the melee and joust at the tournament for that city’s Harvest Festival. He lost both events to Lady Mannpurtz, though he recently avenged himself by unhorsing her in the joust at Blackwash’s Winter Solstice Tournament – and took home the 25,000 gold piece purse.

Shortly after, he began courting her, and eventually won the promise of her hand in marriage. That was delayed by the unfortunate business surrounding the death of Reece Murra, though now he’s finally said his vows and turned betrothal to matrimony.
