Little is known about Theroval. He was travelling with two companions, the sorceress Ki’la’la and the paladin Basutai when they spotted the smoke rising from the ruins of Kylien. Traveling quickly there, he found the party of adventurers and learned that some of their group had been killed. While Basutai challenged the wizard to a contest of arms, Theroval offered to join this group and help them find vengeance for their fallen comrades.

It is unknown what his motives are in offering to help the party- perhaps he seeks a share of the treasure, or to avenge those humans killed by the orkish warparties.
