Jackson is a formidable man, and a the sea’s own salt flows in his veins.

A friend of Captain Diego for 15 years, Jackson is knowledgable, savvy, loyal, and protective. He has made his own life on the Mercy and is very protective of it. He enjoys Diego’s implicit trust and does well for himself as the second on a profitable ship.

Diego will, in fact, make do without personal gains to ensure that Jackson is well-rewarded and happy with his lot.

Jackson taught much of his sea-lore to Kal and they remain fast friends.

Currently, Jackson sails the Mercy south towards Istanbul, serving as her captain in Kal’s absence. They are to meet in six months in the great southern port.
