Armour of the Unsung Hero is a suit of Spiked Full Plate made of unknown metal. It was found with the Sun Shield and Horned Helmet.

Horned Helmet – Part of the Armor, it is simply a helmet in the old-viking style with two large horns of an unknown animal.

Armour of the Unsung Hero was found in a long-lost Karak of the Norska dwarves. Together with a the Sun Shield and the Horned Helmet, it is made of unknown metal, though some suspect it to be skymetal itself! At least a millenium old, the armor is black with reddish hues, as if made of iron (though clearly not). It is unique, masterwork, and in the Baroque style, with the ancient version of the symbol of Thorain on the chestplate and many dwarven gold runes on shoulders and back. These runes name many ancient battles fought by the dwarven armies against the mighty giants. Throughout the armor gold strings etch out intricate designs, making the armor look more like a replica stored in a castle armory than a functional piece. The name of the armor is a recent addition. Since this armor is a relic of another time, and since it lacks any markings depicting either the clan or the name of the creator, it is now impossible to identify who made it or why. Discovered by Dorak Grimface during his ‘coming of age’ quest, it broke the young dwarf’s heart to find a dead warrior of obviously great stature abandoned and forgotten in a fallen city. Given the location of where he was found, and the armor he wore, it isn’t reasonable to assume that he stood ground as the city fell.

Sun Shield is a large round shield made of the same black and red metal with a huge symbol of the sun, where the outside edge of the shield is embossed with golden rays. Much of the shield has thousands of gold ‘hairs’ embossed into it that compose an image of the sun. In the center is a black outline of a dwarven waraxe, as if something was missing from the symbol. The warrior that carries it, when he ‘beats’ his waraxe against the shield, causes his weapon to ‘combine’ into a full form of Thorain’s symbol in the same style as the one on the armor itself. On the inside, dwarven runes spell out a battle cry old as the dwarven race itself: ”’Lo, there do I see my father. ‘Lo, there do I see my mother, and my sisters, and my brothers. ‘Lo, there do I see the line of my people, back to the beginning. ‘Lo they do call to me. They bid me take my place among them, in the halls of Thorain, where the brave may live forever.”

Horned Helmet is part of the armor, with two white-as-snow horns. On the inside rim, dwarven runes spell out a familiar dwarven saying: “Animals die, friends die, and I shall die, but one thing will not die, and that is the reputation I leave behind at my death!”
