Ashaurok is Smoth’s mentor. She helped him unlock his latent magical talent.

She is engaged in a deadly rivalry with Fuegis of Mensington. Many years ago, he found her familiar sneaking through his tower trying to steal a magic ring. He captured her familiar and incinerated it, sending its ashes back to Ashaurok. To add insult to injury, he sent the ring along as well, saying it was a simple trinket and she could have it if she wished.

To repay Fuegis for this, Ashaurok has asked Smoth to kill Fuegis’s familiar and leave the magic ring on its corpse as a calling card.

The rest of her backstory is a mystery, as the players have never inquired much about her.
