Description
Written by Franklin DuBois, this appears to be an original copy. It is a historical perspective and chronologue of “The Tower of Ellithen” – which is known in the present-day as The Therian Academy.
The book pieces together a great deal of the tower’s history, and is strongly referential to Myar Ellithen’s own book, N’Tyene Tirion, particularly when referring to the tower’s construction and early years.
The book asserts the following as facts about the tower:- Built by orcish labor, though the construction suggests elven tools, influence and craftsmanship. Based on references to N’Tyene Tirion.
- Roughly 1,200 years old. The general structure’s construction took 10 years, though work continued for at least 50 more.
- Roughly 400 years ago, “The Therian Brotherhood” (a mercenary company) found the building vacant and took it over. This organization is widely believed to have been mostly brigands and outlaws. Their claim on the tower was secured on the heels of “The Orc Skirmishes” (circa 450-400 years ago).
- The Therian Brotherhood held the tower until approximately 150 years ago, when their captain (who is unnamed in the book) was killed in a barroom knife-fight during a high-profile job. Upon his death, Deidrick Barrister took the reigns of the organization.
- Deidrick Barrister was a 20-something fast-riser within the company – a researcher and mage by trade. He reformed the company into a training school, legitimized their business and has, in the proceeding 150 years, totally rebuilt the organization’s reputation and connections as “The Therian Academy.”
- It was Deidrick Barrister’s decision to stay steadfastly neutral and uninvolved during the hostile takeover by The Empire of the Sun.
