As a jewel, the Eye of the Dawn is almost beyond price. However, its magical aura is very faint, and it has demonstrated no properties beyond its displays of color.

APPEARANCE
The Eye of the Dawn is a flawless pillow-cut diamond, some fifty carats in size. Under certain circumstances, the gem glows with rosy hues.

BACKGROUND
The Eye’s origins are lost to antiquity. It was hidden by a cabal of fey wizards at the Isle of Black Trees, until its recent liberation by Bendon Mawl. Our heroes have acquired it from Bendon; Maloranserani has been chosen to carry it, as he’s sure the Eye is important to the Lady of Mirrors.

Firil Starwing knew the Eye’s location, and something else she learned about it caused her to flee Sigil. Whatever she knew has been lost, wiped from her memory by the telepath Gyderic in his search for the Eye.

The Illuminated’s interest in the jewel (unless it’s strictly for its monetary value) has not been explained, but they seem hellbent on recovering it…
