Bio
Luke Santiago was abandoned at birth at the door of a Colombian orphanage. He spent his early years running away from the harsh beatings of that establishment and living on the streets. He met up with a friendly street hustler who taught him the arts of cards, pickpocketing, and breaking and entering. They developed a tight bond, and though the man never revealed his name, he was like a father to Luke. Then one day he disappeared, leaving Luke to survive by his wits.
Eventually Luke joined up with a drug cartel, and after a rival crew wiped them out, became a guerrilla fighter exiled to life in the unforgiving mountains. He developed into a scout, expert in throwing daggers in perfect and deadly silence. As American funded Government agents launched an attack against him and his outlaw cohorts, the old man of his childhood revealed himself again, this time in spirit form.
“I am Tezcatlipoca, God of Vice and Trickery. And I am your father. Now it is time to betray your friends and live a gluttonous life of gambling, wine and women!”
Tezcatlipoca bestowed Luke with his birthright “The Loaded Deck”, x-ray black ray ban shades, and his thieving animal companion Gaffle the ferret.
Luke took his father’s advice, collected the bounty on the heads of his guerrilla compatriots, and headed for the U.S. with a forged passport. He parlayed the last of his money in a cardroom in Vegas, earning enough to enter the World Poker Championship. He won hands down, dominating the competition, earning his first bracelet.
Since then he has earned an impressive reputation as a professional Hold-em player, winning another 2 bracelets and a slough of tournaments.
“Wanna see where I keep my third bracelet, Bonita?” A line that has worked on many a show girl.
Now he has been commanded by his father to join with a group known as the Moon Foundation, to use his skills battling the encroaching Titan Spawn in his devious, underhanded way. But still taking the time to swindle the competition and use his latin charms on the chicas.
