The pleasant old lady running the diner down the street from Kat's house has revealed herself to be a mage. She has suggested that she knew John Hudson of Hudson, Watts and Releu, and referred to Al Capone by his proper first name. It has been implied that she has influence over a number of the younger mages that live near her.
