Description
Bio
Skarth Lindok led most of his life typical of any other male in the Troll Kingdoms, though he was hardly your typical orc. Although he didn't abide by the mainstream ideals of most trolls and orcs, he quickly gained rank and renown in his native kingdom using his impressive strength and uncanny ability to command warriors to make even the most hopeless battles end in triumph.
During the time he served in his homeland's military, he took it upon himself to form a temporary alliance with the nearby Elven lands to gather additional resources in the long fight against the other Troll Kingdoms. While there he met and elven woman named Kellia who, improbably as it seems, later became his wife. While his kingdom had no real quibble with the elves, Skarth decided it would be wise to conceal the non-traditional marriage as he didn't want to test the limit of his king's patience. It became even more important as the two soon produced a child named Belinda. Because the trade agreement between Skarth's people and Kellia's people had become very lucrative for both, the orc's superiors looked past the frequent visits he made to the Elven lands.
This arrangement continued to work for everyone until one jealous elf made his way to Skarth's king and very publicly informed him of the secret union. Not wanting to appear weak to his subjects, he accused Skarth of treason and conspiring with the elves to overthrow him and, while the orc was away on another mission, sent a garrison of troops to burn the elven village to the ground. Pregnant with her second child, Kellia took Belinda and tried to flee the carnage that was once her home. During her escape, she was fatally wounded by an arrow, but she was able to make it to a safe haven with a handful of other surviving villagers. She entrusted Belinda, still just a child, to the survivors before she succumbed to her injuries.
Skarth's fury was endless. The elves who survived the massacre helped him lay his wife and unborn child to rest, then he began his journey for retribution. He knew he could not attack the king directly, as such action would only suffice to get himself killed. Instead he set out with his daughter to House Gristuk. Using his knowledge of his own kingdom's tactics and his own leadership abilities, and with the help of Gristuk's army, Skarth led the battle which brought the downfall of his homeland. He finally got the revenge he so craved as he personally slit his former king's throat and bellowed with furious pleasure as his wife's murderer slowly died.
Skarth was eagerly invited into House Gristuk and offered a prestigious military position for his role in the expansion of it's territories and his valor and prowess in battle. He graciously accepted Gristuk as his new home, though declined any formal military position.
In the years to follow, Belinda began to exhibit abilities of her own, and Skarth nurtured them along as best he could. He put his own tactical and battle skills to use by forming the mercenary company known as Norric's Wrath, which since it's formation has grown considerably. Belinda has become a rather formidable cleric, which pleased Skarth greatly as he often finds himself in need of one. Currently the father and daughter are working together in the steady employ of the prince of House Gristuk.
