This is Kal’s Guide to the Myths and legends of the realm, next to my journal and a few rare pieces I have collected this is one of my most important possessions. It is where I write about legends, lore and some of the most amazing stuff in lands. You see although I spend my days on, Shailia’s Mercy, I spend most of my time dreaming about treasure. I have unhealthy preoccupation with it (Especially since it’s almost caused my demise so many times).

I don’t know why but I have a nose for the unfindable and an eye for what other people look at as fluff I can see fact. It’s a good thing too, because although I’m not a bad merchant, I’m not a great one either. I think of my business as my hobby and “hobby” as my passion. And as far as fortunes go like every good swashbuckler I’ve gained and lost my fortune more times than I’d like to remember.

So whoever I hand this down to enjoy these pages and love them as I do. This was not the labors of a bookrat or a school marm. This was a lifetime of adventure. Some of the pages have just a few lines about a rumor others stories of my victories and unfortunately my failures. Enjoy the read and whatever I didn’t find…. Go look for.
