WOOOOOOOT! It’s Aaron!
Well, I’ve been playing DnD since i was in elementary school with 3.0…
Yes, I saw the DnD movie, I know it didn’t stay true to the rules nor make a blockbuster, but I liked it. The DVD commentary got me to start tabletop gaming so how bad could it be? You know what? I thought it was good, it was funny, and quirky, and I bought it and the second one and the second one kicked ass and stayed true to the rules and was shot in some country in eastern europe! So there! I’ve played way more Baldur’s Gate games than they should have made, Sold unholy amounts of time to Neverwinter Nights and Diablo, and have almost never played as a player in actual DND 3.5. Always a dungeon master, never a bride? Anyways, I’ve played some one shots, usually at Gen-con Socal, but since they cancelled that I haven’t gotten to unleash my criticals on anything. Until this summer, when I’m finally playing a player! Still can’t roll a twenty when i need to (the fact that I can never roll well is known amongst my friends, they liked it during life-or-death encounters when i was Dungeon Mastering, but when they need that eldritch blast to take a monster out of melee, they like it much less). My choice of playing a warlock may be so that I only need to make a touch armor class because I can never roll my share of numbers above 10. This campaign, and the one i just finished DMing, Return to Castle Ravenloft, have been some of the best times I’ve ever had in Dungeons and Dragons. I hope the guys I play with feel the same way.
